Is the plugin really free?
Yes, forever, with no account and no connection required. It runs your rotation, your singer profiles and keys, the audience screen, the party tools, and the sound board. The subscription is for FireballKaraoke.com, the cloud half: phone requests, the host remote, singer accounts, and backups.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac with Apple Silicon, a recent VirtualDJ, and the karaoke library you already have. Windows is not ready yet, and there is a waitlist on the plugin page.
Do singers need an app or an account?
Neither. They scan the code on your screen, type a name, and search. An account is free and optional, and it keeps their history, their keys, and their favourites across every show they sing at.
What happens if the internet drops mid show?
The show carries on. The rotation, the audience screen, and the music are all on your machine. Requests stop arriving until the connection is back, and everything already approved is untouched.
Does my music leave my computer?
No. Not the files, not the video, and not even the file paths: the catalogue we hold has no field for them. We store titles, artists, and albums so a singer can search.
Can I use it at more than one venue, on more than one rig?
Yes. Pair as many rigs as you own; the subscription is per host, not per machine. Your singer roster and their history merge across all of them.
What does it cost, and can I cancel?
A free month to start, then $9.99 a month or $99.90 a year. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Do you take a cut of tips?
No. Tip buttons on your public page link out to your own accounts. The money never touches us and we take nothing.
Can singers see each other's history?
No. A singer's history is theirs and their host's. Rosters and history never cross between hosts either.
