There are three places a FireballKaraoke QR code comes from, and they can carry different addresses if one of them is out of date.
The three codes
The audience screen draws its code live, so it is always current.
The QR button in the plugin's top bar draws the same code full size, for holding up or screenshotting.
Venue posters are PDFs generated from your scheduled shows. They are printed paper: whatever they said on the day you printed them is what they still say.
After you change your web address
Your show address is built from your web address, so a new one changes every code that points at you. The audience screen and the plugin's QR button update themselves. Posters do not. Reprint them from the shows page.
This is the most common cause of a code that lands somewhere unexpected: fresh screen, old paper.
The code goes to a "show hasn't started" page
That is the right address and the wrong moment. The code always points at your request page; the page only accepts requests while a show is open. Open the show and any phone already sitting on that page comes alive on its own.
The code goes nowhere at all
If the address in the code has no host behind it, the page says so plainly rather than showing a broken screen. Check that your web address claim went through on your profile page.
Making it scannable
Bigger than you think, and away from bright stage lighting. On the audience screen you control the size and which corner it sits in, so put it where the room is already looking and give it room to breathe.
