A connected rig checks in with FireballKaraoke.com once a minute. If two minutes go by with no check-in, the site marks it offline. That is all the badge means: we have not heard from that machine recently.
While a rig is offline the host remote will not send commands, and it says so rather than pretending the command went through.

Is VirtualDJ running with the plugin window open? The check-in comes from the plugin, so a closed VirtualDJ is an offline rig. Everything the plugin does locally is unaffected.
Is the machine online? A venue network that has dropped, a captive portal that wants a click, or a hotspot that has gone to sleep all look the same from our side.
The plugin says it is connected, the site says offline
Give it two minutes. A check-in that fails once is retried on the next minute, and the badge clears itself.
If it stays offline, look at the plugin's connection status. If the rig was disconnected from the plugin, or if you revoked it from the dashboard, its access is gone and the state is immediate rather than delayed. Pair it again: the same machine keeps the same rig, so nothing is lost.
It went offline in the middle of a show
The show carries on. Rotation, audience screen, and music are local and do not wait on us. When the rig comes back the connection resumes on its own.
If a rig stays silent for half an hour during a live show, we close the show on our side so singers are not left staring at a request page that nobody is reading. Open the show again when you are back and the page comes with it.
Nothing above fits
Check that your subscription is current, since an account that has been suspended stops its rigs from checking in. If everything looks right and the badge is wrong, write to us at [email protected] with your rig name and roughly when it happened.
