When a singer says the page will not let them request, the page is almost always telling them exactly why. Ask what it says on screen; the wording maps to one of these.
"The show hasn't started yet"
No show is open on that address. Open the show in the plugin and the page wakes up on its own, without anyone reloading anything.
"This show isn't connected to the KJ's rig right now"
The show is open but no rig is attached to it. This is the state you get if a show was opened and the rig then dropped away. Check that VirtualDJ and the plugin are running and that the rig is online.
"The KJ has paused requests for now"
Requests are frozen. You froze them from the host remote, or someone with access to it did. Unfreeze from the same place.
"You have 2 requests waiting"
That is the limit, and it is per singer name. It stops one enthusiastic person from filling the whole queue while everyone else waits. They can cancel a pending request themselves, or you can approve one, and they can send another.
"The KJ isn't taking song-hunt notes tonight"
Wishes are switched off in your settings. A wish is what a singer sends when the song is not in your library. Turn wishes back on if you want them.
The song simply is not there
Search only covers the karaoke tracks in your library that are in tonight's catalogue. If a track never made it up to the cloud, see catalogue problems.
"Something went wrong. Please see the KJ"
That device has been blocked at the platform level. It is deliberately vague on the singer's phone. Contact us if you think it is wrong.
One singer, one phone, nothing works
Have them close the page and scan again. The page remembers who they are with a token in the browser, and a private-browsing window or a cleared browser starts them over as a new person, which is harmless.
