A cloud show is a normal show with a phone door attached. Your rotation, your audience screen, and your library work exactly as they always do; the difference is that singers can send you requests from where they are standing.
Open the show
Start the show in the plugin as usual. When the rig is connected, opening the show tells FireballKaraoke.com that you are live, and your request page goes from a "not started yet" notice to a working page. Singers who already had it open see it wake up on its own.
Put the code where people can see it
The audience screen carries the QR code for your request page while a cloud show is running, and you decide how large it is, which corner it sits in, and what the caption says. There is also a QR button in the plugin's top bar that shows the codes full size, which is handy for holding up a laptop or printing a table card. Venue posters with the code on them come from the show scheduling pages.
What a singer does
They scan, type a name, and search. That is the whole sign-up: no account, no password, no app. They tap a song, pick a key change if they want one, and send it to you.
Singers who do have a free account get their name filled in, plus their history and favourites at your show.
Approving
Requests land in the approval dock in the plugin, and on the host remote if you are working from your phone. Approve, and the singer goes into the rotation exactly as if you had typed them in yourself. Their spot, their song, and their rough wait time appear on their phone straight away.
If the internet drops
The show keeps running. The rotation, the audience screen, and the music are all local, and none of them wait on us. Requests stop arriving until the connection comes back, and anything already approved is untouched.
